High Silo Farm Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us!

The primary purpose in collecting any information from or about you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience!  Our goal is to create a harmonious community of subscribers at High Silo Farm.

Here are the basics in non-legal jargon:

  • We use Google Analytics data to understand what visitors like the most on our website. Personal data is not stored.  This tracks how and where you navigate on our site.

  • If you sign up for an email list, we’ll send you the incentive you signed up for and regular emails to help give you another perspective of food and the experiences it creates. We do not share or sell our email list.

  • We also have a Facebook pixel and the Pinterest tag on our site to better understand how you interact with those two platforms so that we can gauge which content you like the most.

  • If you leave a comment on our blog, it attaches your IP address to your email address. This helps me monitor spam.

At High Silo Farm we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

  1. We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (Unlike some other companies, we don’t have a need to pry for this information!)

  2. We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.

  3. We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

Here’s the legal stuff:

This website and its content are owned by High Silo Farm (“Company”, “we”, or “us”). The term “you” refers to you as the user or viewer of www.highsilofarm.com (“Website”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.  We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy on the Website at any time without notice.  Use of any information or contribution that you provide to us, or which is collected by us on or through our Website or its Content is governed by this Privacy Policy.  By using our Website or its Content, you consent to this Privacy Policy, whether or not you have read it.  If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Website or its Content.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, High Silo Farm collects non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. High Silo Farm’s purpose for collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how High Silo Farm’s visitors use its website. From time to time, High Silo Farm may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

High Silo Farm also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blogs. High Silo Farm only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
